I bid you all Toodles

as the title suggests, i bid you all toodles.

i've been wanting to move up to something larger than a 32' for about a year or so, and just couldn't find a trojan that looked decent enough in the immediate area. so, i figured i'd ride it out and wait until one materialized.

my marina is also a new sea ray/carver dealer, and they take trades all the time. a couple of weeks ago, a 40' silverton aft cabin was traded in, and with the trojan taken on trade, it was a doable deal. so, after a survey and a couple of sea trials, i pulled the trigger this week.

i gotta tell ya, and i am not trying to sound hokey at all here, but i learned a LOT from you guys, and if it hadn't been for you all, i would have pulled my hair out soon after buying the 32'. i hope that i can find a good silverton forum where i'll find answers to the questions sure to pop up as i did here.

if it's okay with you'se guys, i'll pop in now and then and say hiyas and such...and maybe pick your brains for general knowledge stuff.

with that, God bless.

i bid you toodles...and just for funsies...

Auf Wiedersehen und Tschüß!

Congrats Tuck!! I know you'll be happy with her since I've worked on that model before and it seemed to be put together very well.

Tuck, It's been great having you as part of this family. You've been alot of fun. I hope you don't get too upity with that big beautiful boat. Keep in touch anyway. Ford guys still hang with Chevy guys at the car shows, and besides, like I said, your still family. If you need to paint the bottom of your new boat I'll still loan you the scuba gear. :D More pics?

Just out of curiosity, I attended college and lived in Chattanooga for a few years back in the early 70's. Exactly where is your boat located?

Did you just say,"Auf Wiedersehen und Tschüß"

Well Tuck, that new Silverton looks like a great boat and as we tricabin guys can attest, having that rear bedroom arrangement effectively doubles the usable area of your boat.

Plus, as the current governor of California might say, "Hasta La Vista, Baby" or more appropriate might be you stating, "I'll be back!"

All the best

Rick
