i went and picked up my new boat trailer yesterday. 10x70 quad axle. i have my work cut out for me but it will be worth it! a little torch work, a little welding, remove one of the axles, grease the bearings, set the bunks, get the lights and brakes working, a little paint, and down the road she goes!

What will you pull it with?
10' wide will require a special license/permit won't it?

i'm going to narrow it up to 8 foot and shorten it from 70 foot to around 36.

Wow a 70 foot trailer. Looks stout as hell. What was it used for before?

it was used for hauling modular homes. the lower crossmembers are 1/4" square stock and the frame is boxed. i should drop a little weight after i trim around 30 feet off. i figure for around $1500 bucks i can have a trailer that will last forever. i have a GMC 2500hd that pulled it fine. last summer i pulled a trojan f36 from milwaukee to just east of green bay without any issues. thats the thing with boats, there big and bulky but relativly light and balanced.
