Windshield wiper motors.

I was checking the amperage on some windshield wiper motors. I see many of them have a maximum of 5 amp draw. Now I have not checked, but will, the size of wiring run to our wiper motors. A number twelve wire is put on a 20 amp circuit but good wiring practice tells you not to let over 12 amps on the circuit. That means two wipers can run on one 20 amp circuit to meet that code. That means to have three wipers one needs a larger circuit and larger wiring.
I am just wondering what everyone has on their boat as for wiring and how many wipers. What size circuit are you using to run your wipers.
I think that when people change out a wiper motor they do not think of the amps that the motor might pull and that could make a problem when it comes to the circuit.

This is interesting. I will have to check ours. I remember the last time I replaced a motor there were several wires but I am not sure how many circuits are involved. I shall find out.
