I am in search of an "in-line" 30amp fuse on the wiring harness. Would anyone have an idea where it is? Very little access. Everything I can see, does not look to be what I am looking for.

What is happening with your generator? I would check the breaker on the left to make sure it is on. Sometimes it will or can be accidently tripped. It will not start. It is on the left and back toward the rear of the generator. Atleast that is the way it is on ours. As for a 30 amp fuse I will check our schematic for one. I seem to remember a fuse on top of the generator toward the back. Not sure , it has been awhile since I have looked.
I do know we had ot replace a coil on our start circuit one time.

The genny will do nothing when I hit the pre-heat or the starter. Battery is good. There is power from the battery to the starter, but then the power goes from the starter to the solenoid, and to the engine controls from there. If I put a jumper cable from the battery to the incoming (battery side) of the solenoid, everything works ine. The manual says there is a fuse, in-line, on the wiring harness, from the starter to the solenoid and control board. I can not find it, mainly due to access to the genny.

I will try and look, I have all the service manuals etc for the MKD. By the way they are available and reasonably priced and available from the manufacture where I purchased mine. If I had them in PDF would send you a copy.
