Contact Bob at Beacon Marine, they have them. They also can pull up the sales order for your vessle. Amazing stuff to have.

All they need is the Hull Number and Vin from the power pannel.

Good luck. I have mine and wouldn't trade it for anything, wealth of knowledge in it.

Welcome to the forum.

Like Aaron stated, Bob @ Beacon Marine that sponsors this forum has just about anything you will need and if he doesn't have it, he will have an idea where you can find it.

Welcome. The only manual for your boat was a generic manual, in loose-leaf binder format, that Trojan included with every model. They threw in other info specific to a particular boat depending on options (Sentry, Halon, Monomatic, etc). The manual offers general infomation on the care and feeding of your boat, but it's stuff that's true for all boats. If it's an engine or transmission manual you seek, you'll have to obtain manuals specific to the make/model (originally either the Mercruiser 233 or Chrysler Marine M-318 for the engine and Borg-Warner 'Velvetdrive' 71C for the tranny). Both engine manuals are available for sale in hardcopy or .pdf format through various web retailers. 71C manuals are widely available for free on the internet in .pdf format.

Trojan often installed a Norcold Model DE-400 AC/DC fridge during the '70's. Although now obsolete, try SearsPartsDirect.com for parts:

Norcold still offers DE-400 series fridges, but not sure they still use the same freezer door these days.

Hope some of this is helpful.

Lisi, if you need I made copies of pertinent parts of the owners manual for my 77 F26: plumbing, electrical, etc. The rest is pretty generic. Jon is right about the fridge being a Norcold, and I think the model is the same as mine. It's AC/DC and should have a freezer door. The model has been updated and Norcold is still in existence. You can track down contacts on their website and they may have a door for your freezer in stock, since I think the updated model is pretty much the same as the old one. Send me a PM and I'll email you the attachments. Beacon Marine should also have complete manuals and other good info on your boat.

Welcome aboard!

As others have posted, the fridge will be a Norcold (same as I have on my '79 F32). Model DE-400A. Over the years Norcold made a whole series of DE-400 models (A, B, C, D, E, F, and possibly higher letter codes!), and there are subtle differences in the fridges and/or electronics to drive them.

I had a real problem finding replacement parts for it for a reasonable price (burnt out transformer was going to cost me $500 to replace), so I ended up buying a used similar model off of Craigslist and was able to rework the electronics and wiring to get mine going again.

Norcold is now made / sold by Thetford http://www.thetford.com/HOME/PRODUCTS/N ... fault.aspx. Good luck finding a door that will fit... I don't think any of their currently available parts/models are the exact same size.

(You could also check out RV repair shops as they used the Norcolds in RVs too).
