Well Happy New Year everyone. I have been quite busy this week with the 'ole Sea Raider.

I am happy to report that the bilge area is all cleaned out, the pilot house, side decks are secure and will NEVER collapse again! So I decided to start working on the rotton window frames and cabin roof. FYI....what a mess!

I cannot wait to do the fun stuff like paint the bilge!

Anyhow, here are the most recent pics.

Definitely looks like fun! So many marinas around here won't let you take on resto projects like this on their property anymore for insurance and environmental concerns... When I stripped my bottom a couple of winters back (and I know where some of you guys will try to take this.... don't even go there...) one of the guys (a friend) in the marina office was telling a co-worker that I was allowed to do the work on site because I was 'grand-fathered', and that I was using a new 'experimental and environmentally conscious system' to strip the bottom... Else they might have tried to stop me.
