I bought a faux leather loveseat for the salon in my F-36 and its the most uncomfortable piece of junk. I like the look of those that are like real low cabinets with a big cushion on top. The sections can be moved to make the "L" shape into an "I" to lay down.
I've seen several pieces from marine furiture manufacturers like "Flexsteel." But they are horribly overpriced and I don't really want my half drunken buddies, covered in fish guts, laying on my new $1000 sofa.
Would like suggestions as well.

I kind of like those chaise lounges that have storage underneath. There's one here near the bottom of the page.

If you're near Green Bay, WI it looks like some guy up there has a bunch of new Flexsteel stuff for sale cheap.

The only one we found that fit and looked right to us was made by Jennifer couches, its a sleeper. we ve had for 6 years now and its still comfortable. The original was L shaped and wasnt as comfortable as the back was too straight up.also took up more space.

no heavier than the original L shape i put it on and checked for listing no change at all . It fits perfectly allows enough space for your rear drapes to pull open without bunching and 2 inches next to the galley partition.

We replaced our original sleeper sofa with a one-armed Mysinge chaise from IKEA - go to ikea.com and look for MYSINGE...
Removable, washable covers, and it fits perfectly inside the F32 on the port side!
Great idea!

Too bad it doesn't come in blue to match the drapes. Think I'll order it anyway right now. Thanks!

It's worked perfectly and ultra comfortable - even has a kidney-shaped side table that swivels back and forth (but unfortunately not up and down to get out of the way). Still, a great price and we love it.

I have searched extensively for a sleeper sofa for my Trojan Tri-Cabin. I not only found a replacement but an improvement in the original size.
The AU furniture company makes a better engineered sofa that gives you a crapload more space to sleep on than the old style ones. I went to a retail store here in Maryland and they have about 200 colors and fabrics to choose from. American leather also makes them in..um...leather.
The Natalie is the sofa with the smallest footprint with the most space on the bed.

How does one get a sofa in a Tricabin? Through the roof?
Let me know how you make out.

Thanks Eric , the one I am looking for is very very lite weght ( I could carry it by my self) . As far as putting one in your boat good question , thru the roof maybe the anser as thats the way to change the engines.
if that was the case with mine it would get a new sofa at repower time (along with a new refrige )

Ikea is great for furniture that will fit through the door and still look nice

I got a new Flex-steel sleeper sofa for $350. at a RV Interiors store. They had racks of used and new take-outs, different sizes, shapes and colors. They said they redesign a lot of new and used motorhomes so they're happy to get rid of the take-outs, and of coarse cash talks. To get it into my F-32 I layed the sofa down into the sleeping position, turned it on edge and it went right in. Only weighes about 60lbs.
