Just a sunk meter boat being raised was good video

whats the point of raising it?...it's a nice boat and everything but I wouldn't think you could make any money on it considering what would have to be sunk into it to make it saleable.

In the late 70's I helped raise a wood boat and with enough help it is not too bad but the cleanup definately makes you wonder if it's worth it. We got it cleaned up and running again, used it for fishing until Mount Saint Helens blew and the marina where it was moored completely filled in with valcano ash and logs coming down the river. The boat and marina were destroyed. The marina was never rebuilt and was eventually filled in the rest of the way for land developement. What a heart breaker. But, if you have the time and love your boat, it can be worth the work. If mine sunk, I would definately raise it because there is nothing on a boat that can't be fixed and I enjoy working on boats.

Most likely it will be scraped. you raise it because its a hazard to both navigation and the environment

That boat is the little sister to mine same year and all nice boat but I'd bet not much left to be worth fixing. As said it was removed because it is a hazard to the environment at 60 feet not much a hazard to other boaters.

Good video but sad to think this could have been any one of our boats.
