Here is a series of photos of the 460 FORD motors coming out of my boat.

If they do not sell on ebay they are headed to the scrapyard.

You must have a buddy with a crane service. Sweeeeeeeet.

Why not rebuild the 460's ?

why ??
I would not rebuild them , the marine parts are getting hard or imposable to find for these . some one that has one would jump on theses for parts or spares . the trick is finding that person.

I have a buddy doing lots of stuff on this rig...

I do not want a carb motor...going back with multi-port fuel injection
6.0L 375hp chevy or maybe the 8.1L 425hp

I do not care if they sell or not...do have some watchers and getting quite a few looks. I do not have the time or space to set on them.

Thanks for looking,

Don't scrap all of it. I'll take the manifolds and risers and anything else externally. I'll pay shipping and you'll know they'll be going to a good home. They fit my buddy's 81 F36.
Thanks in advance if interested.

Jamie,

I am not parting them out and not doing it here for sure.

I do not have the time to give them away..I will scrap for the metal. I hope you understand....I have a boat to get re-powered for spring and it is game on from here.

For the cost of the (2)new heads and manifolds alone that I have you can bid on them on ebay. I am only asking $ 750 for the whole deal. Both motors and spare parts.

SDR, What info have you found on the 8.1's there's two repower in my marina that went to them and have nothing but trouble out of them. fuel and timing controls. I've seen one wrench turner so much on one boat my dogs answer to him . And why not put in 7.4's. I'm not questioning you I'm just lookin for info.

I would be careful on the 6.0 engines as the have to turn a lot of rpm to make power ( need to be propped 4800 to 5300 ) . that would take a large amount of reduction or a small prop .

There was a posting by a f36 owner with 300hp 350 efi engines , that was over propped . this was a 4800-5200 rpm engine and he just was not happy the way it preformed ( he was thinking he was under propped ) , smaller Hi rpm engines are not the best match to a big boat IMO.

Buying new engines may cost more than the boats worth, but up to you ...

Best of luck! post pix! The 6.0's are a a bit weak for an F36

I am listening to you guys for sure....

I have a deal with MarinePower and I am unsure if they offer a MPI 7.4L

I really do want to get away from throttle body and/or carbs.
