I have a thru hull about 2' aft of the pump out, almost at the keel.
What was that used for? Nothing is connected and it's capped. It's basically below the shelf where the fresh water pump sits.
I removed the pump out seacock/thru hull today and maybe I'll do the same for this one. I'm just not sure what it was used for.

Bob,
If it's a T-handle plug, it's a hull drain plug, more than likely. Mine has one, as did my last boat.
that would make more sense.....

because it's so close to the bottom of the boat. Definately the pump out thru hull, just removed that one.
It's a thru hull that's capped with a hex plug. Do you have it on yours? If you remember, can you take a look? It's pretty much under the shelf holding the FW pump basically in the middle.
I might just remove it too, I need to fill the hole from the pump out seacock anyway. That way I won't have anything in the front 1/3 of the boat which I need to worry about leaking or being bonding correctly.

I've have to check my forward bilge pump, so I'll see exactly what's there.

Bob, this is where the overboard discharge was connected from holding tank thru the macerater pump. Mine is still connected. Dennis

that's interesting. So the seacock/shutoff must have been added at a later date or was ordered that way. The one I removed was connected to the macerator pump and made by "Apollo". I thought that was odd since all the other thru hull hardware on the boat is made by Groco.
My boat also has the same unused style seacock in the stern for a generator. Maybe they did both at the factory.
Anyway, thanks for "cracking the case"

Bob,
I looked yesterday afternoon and the small thru hull under the platform holding the freshwater pump and shower pump is nothing more than a drain plug. It's placement and size would not allow it to be anything else.

Bob,
I second the overboard discharge, I had to cap that one off this past fall as mine came from the East coast.

Bob, these were standard factory installs from the ones I have seen.
Just a typical ball valve, others are seacocks with rubber internals which is why they have the thumb screw opposite the lever.
