Exhausts for 318s on F28

When removing the engines from my F28 I also removed the exhaust system. It is comprised of 3 inch ID hose sections, 3 inch OD fiberglass sections, Iron 90 degree Ell and of course mufflers.
The questions are two at present. 1. Is the fiberglass piping satisfactory or is there better. 2. Looking inside the 3 inch ID hose I noticed that they were blistering inside and separating, they are labeled marine grade and obviously will replace.
Both of these seem to be weak links in the exhaust and could cause dangerous leaks.

How old are they ? They may have been run without raw water at some time due to pump failure.
Edit due phone auto spell.

Fiberglass sections are fine, used quite often. Remeber it's wet exhaust so it's not hot. As long as the integrity is OK, I would use them again.

When a hose is blistering inside its been running to hot check for low water flow

Thanks Guys, that is what I thought, am replacing both engines so will also put in new rubber and fiberglass piping. I do not trust the old.
And the engines most probably had been run dry for a while as both raw water pumps are not working. Rehabing those as well assuming they are in a rebuildable state.

Tony, technically, Paul is correct. Lack of flow is the key term here...But I give you an "A" for effort...

I am in the same boat...
What do you intend to do to replace the iron pipe?
I will not be going back with the iron pipe and are curious what others have done in this situation.

I have only checked the iron pipe elbows and they appear to be solid and quite usable.

FYI I have decided to use one each of the Mini sentek 4 inch mufflers for each engine. outputs from each cylinder bank are 3 inches and will Y into the 4 inch muffler and out the 4 inch, trojan tail pipe. I wanted to use some other larger mufflers however as my boat is a V drive space is short in the stern. I will connect with hose and fiberglass piping.
I have seen several times that fiberglass pipe or rubber hose is not recommended closer than 24 inches to engine. That is tough to avoid as the first connecting piece is rubber hose out of the riser? Suggestions?

Marine rated wet exhaust hose can go right to the elbow.
