West Marine has it as well. It's a rip off but they have smaller pieces like that.

thanks for the 2 replys so far but i have done plenty of research on line and i was hoping that someone here might have something that will be reasonable .

bobct west marine doesnt have anything like this they dont have lumber in the width i need.

torcan i called them they want $39.85 and i have 3hr roundtrip drive to get it. too much cost there.

i'll keep hoping someone here has some access to some scrap. i know when i'm in fla there are some great salvage yards that have this stuff lying around for hardly anything. i just dont have access to this in tn.

i dont mind paying for it if the price is reasonable.

No problem, but you don't need to drive, couldn't you get them to USPS the piece you need?
Guess it all depends on how much your willing to pay.

Good luck

I have talked with Beacon about Teak and they have a pretty good supply. I had them rebuild my swim platform for my f28 and it came out like new.

she said she would not send it and i would have to pick it up.

the reason i am asking here is i figured with this many people on the forum someone would have some lying around. i'm not asking for a hand out but $40 is a bit much for this small amount of wood. when i was in florida last i picked up a piece twice as large and 1 1/4 " thick for $12.00. its just that florida is 8 hrs away. if someone doesnt have any i will look into starboard or similiar but i would like to have a piece of teak.

There is a guy in Wilmington NC that is parting out a wooden Trojan 42 or something like that.

Look him up on craigslist, he has all kinds of stuff posted there. Including planks and trim parts.

He will sell cheap and ship to you.

Teak in Tennessee...as a matter of fact there was a period of time that a lot of teak was bought and used in TN.

I would venture to say that more boats are built in TN than any other state.

MasterCraft
Malibu
Supra
Moomba
Axis
Hydra Sports
Bryant
Allison
Gibson Houseboats
Triton
Sea Ray
Yamaha Jet Boats

Just to name a few of the builders in TN.....
