I need to reploace the blower on my midcabin this year. I can't take another season of the rickety squealing noise.
Does anyone know what blower style\model will be an easy replacement? I'm going to try to get in at it today but it's a bit of a tight fit.

i got 2 additional seasons out of mine by drilling a hole in the end and squirting oil into it.
Third season, it had to go, sorry I don't have any other info on the actual replacement part other than my recollection that I had to make a reinforcement bracket out of Starboard as the facory wood was soft in that spot.

I looked at it tonight, looks like the flange mount 4in blower is what is there now. I think I will have to take off the outside panel to get to the mounting nuts. The bolt side is inboard.
at $125, time to go

I had mine replaced last summer. One side was a 4" birdcage and the other side was a 3". Don't know why. Anyway they accessed thru the back storage pockets and had to remove the panels on the gunnels to bolt in the blowers.
Well worth the money. Between the new blowers and new genny you can enjoy the the other sounds around you.

I think I only have a blower on the port side. I'll have to look but I don't think there is one on starboard.
For whatever, reason, someone drilled holes in the port side panel for ventilation. I finally found some vent covers to make it look better.

With the cubic feet under deck there should be 2 blowers to evacuate the gases.

Is it safe to drill that way I mean how big should not be a problem?

Sqealing blowers, I pulled mine off in the fall and bench tested it, interestingly, under load,, it is quiet, with no load, inlet covered to creat vacuum, it squeels, for 200 bucks, I'll prolly just replace it than fool around with it and worry about being down when the boat is is the water.

I already have the replacement. It's a 4 inch flange mounted blower.
Here is a picture describing what I am talking about. There are three 3 3/4 holes in my panel. Two are for inlet hoses and one for the exhaust. They had clamshell covers on then when I bought it which promptly fell off. I found some white plastic vent grates that look better. Still seems like a hack job.
