windshield bonding wire - mid cabin

Post by BobCT »

I have a green wire connected to the base of windshield support near the helm. I forget whether it's connected to the bonding system or goes to the 12v ground. I traced it back last year but forget where it ended. I assume it's for lightning protection and not galvanic bonding.

Do you guys have that as well? The wire is a slightlty darker green than what's on the rest of the boat so I'm not sure if it was added later. It looks like a factory connector though.

Bob, is it inside the windshield or outside? I will take a look if it ever stops raining.

it's comes from under the instrument panel and goes right to the upright support (inside) that connects to the windshield frame.
