Day of HORROR

Hi all,
Yesterday I survived my first encounter with a huge storm on our boat. When I went to the boat yesterday, it was cloudy and raining off and on, but didn't think to much about it, cause it was warm and wanted to spend time on the Lady G. All of a sudden the wind started picking up and as I looked out over the lake, I could actually see white caps coming toward me. I thought, on boy,,,,I think I'm in for it. Then it hit,,,,,wind so hard, I thought the US flag was going to ripe off it's mast,,,,the boat started rocking up and down,,,,back and forth. Rain so hard, I couldn't see 4 feet in front of me.
I thought to my self,,,,,,should I abandon ship? No, I said to myself,,,,I'll go down with her,,,,if I have to. After about 10 minutes of pure horror,,,,the wind suddenly stopped, it was calm,,,,I looked around, the flag was still there.
I had survived my first storm,,,,,,,,,thank goodness,,,,,,I was still in the slip.
