In case any of you thought I was being too hard on my new acquisition by naming it "Basket Case", I decided to start sharing some of the more "eloquent" engineering features of this fine craft. The following photo is of the wiring that ran from a single 15 amp 110VAC breaker and powers the stove, microwave and refrigerator. Yes, Madeline, that little toggle switch was to switch between the stove and micro cause the circuit couldn't handle both at once. I'll be posting other fine engineering features of "basket case" if I survive the night!

Now THAT was funny - you and Largo should start a comedy act !

Don't let you insurance company see these pix!

You can't make this stuff up. Well I've successfully re-wired this whole rats nest already. The stove. micro and fridge now all go to their own breakers using the correct marine wire type. I just know more of this same type of "wiring" exists in several more places on this tub: notably both heads where I see the PO used the same toggle switches to turn on the 110 vac lighting. I just can't wait to see what lurks behind those panels. AS far as the insurance company goes?...too late. They just sent a representative down to the marina to personally deliver hate mail. Stay tuned for more fun with Dick & Jane.
