Hello everyone: As they say on the radio…long time listener, first time caller. I have enjoyed and learned a great deal from this forum for several years, great level of knowlege and expertise.
Anyway to the point, does anyone know of a good surveyor or survey company for a pre-purchase survey in the South West Massachusetts or Providence RI. area? I appreciate any input you might be able to provide.
Thanks

Welcome to the board!
Check with Al Prisco. He's a sought-after surveyor, and moderator on another forum. Either he'll be able to help or direct you. Good luck.

Yes, if I can make the right deal. This is a lousy time to be trying to do this with the fuel prices the way they are but I’m pretty impressed with the 9 meter model and there don’t seem to be any available on the west coast.

hi socal boater, I looked at doing the same when I bought the F-32, there seems to be a larger supply and lower prices in the east vs the west.
Where in Socal, san diego here

Hello getaway: I am also located in San Diego and hope to put the boat in Mission Bay if everything works out. I agree, many more Trojans on the East coast, but I have been surprised at the places you can find one. There was a 37 foot fiberglass boat in someone's backyard in Escondido on Craigslist the other day(for like $600). I bet that is some project.
Thanks for the welcome K9th, I appreciate that.
Also ,thanks again Stripermann2 and prowlerfish. I was able to locate a very knowledgeable surveyor located quite close to the boat I am looking at from the BoatUS surveyor list. As usual, great information on this forum.

I used Capt. Paul Shaw. He's out of Warwick RI. Al Prisco is also very good, you will have to pay for travel from NJ
Paul Shaw was thourough and professional. After three years with the boat I've had no surprises.
If yo are going to be in the area when it is surveyed, I could meet you to look at the boat as well. Or possibly take a look for you.

Wowzer52: Thanks for the welcome.
Gardnersf: Thanks for the information and I appreciate your offer. I am contemplating a trip out if I can get enough information from the broker / owner to justify moving ahead. If I do, I will try to get in touch.
Thanks again to everyone.
