I found a new set on ebay and snatched them up. They should work very well with the Livingston dinghy, as the gunwale and swim platform are almost perfectly level with each other.

I am going to grab some SS hardware, and some reinforcement material for the swim platform, and get her mounted up this weekend. Pics and initial impressions to follow.

We will be on the hook off of Tim's 2 Saturday morning-Sunday if any of ya'll are out and about.

Got her all mounted up on Saturday.

With some help from my cousin (and Corona) we eyeballed, marked, drilled, and cussed until it was finished.

I was fairly nervous as I only brought exactly enough bolts to get the job done, and I was convinced I was going to drop the last one into the drink. We were in about 4' of water, and did all the work waist deep and sunburned.

I lined up the platform hooks with the support poles, and then made adjustments to the snaps on the dinghy. Cordless drill and 2 beers later we were done. She snaps on without any effort, and pivots right up.

I forgot to take pictures (there was beer involved) but I will snap some later this week, as I have to go prep her for Memorial Day weekend. I will need to clean the bottom of my dinghy now, as she has mudbutt from sitting in the water

One thing I don't like about hauling your dingy like that is it hides the name .

But what I have seen done is having the boat name put on the bottom of the dingy looks good and its a great way to id it

We will drop it every time we anchor, as we are using it to get the dog to shore for his, uhhhh, doodies.

On the upside, the addition of the dinghy brought the revelation for the perfect names....

Her Boat
His Dinghy

Sad, but true.

When I brought home the new inflatable tenter for the back of "Cruise Control", I thought a good name for it would be "Remote Control". My wife came out and looked at it on the trailer and said "No Control". Does that mean me or the boat? :?:
