Hi, I am helping my brother-in-law who just purchesed a trojan boat. One problem we can't seem to solve is where is the pump out located? We have looked hi and low.

engines (454) run great, solving a few electrical problems then we are ready to go. privious owner left a little to be desired when he replaced some panel switches, etc.

so far a very nice boat

anything we should be looking for on this model?

what is the differences between the verious models of the 10 M? (express, International, sedan, etc)

thanks,

bernie

Bernie,

The pumpout is the forward deck plate on the Starboard side. Looks just like the gas cap.

I have the wiring diagrams, shoot me an email and I can send them to you. Big files, I'll send a few emails.

bob,
wiring diagrams recieved and printed. thank you very much.

yesterday I was surfing the net to find pictures of 10m boats and found one with a port of some kind comming out of the engine bay bulkhead just below the battery charger. This weekend I will look and see if it is on the boat. I do remember seeing a placard warning about pumping into the sea. it is located on that bulkhead. Years ago my brother-in-law remembers the owner pumping something out of the engine bay. that may be it.

Welcome to the forum,

A couple of thinsg with these boats related to your questions.

1The pump out shoud be on the starboard deck forward as Bob said. This is the host that allows vacuum suction at a pumpout station. There may be a "y" valve near the holding tank under the fwd berth.

The overboard discharge valve for the holding tanks is under the deck outside the door to the head. There is a hatch that may be under the carpet. (There is a hatch under the carpet in the fwd berth area as well that gets you access to the pumps.

Make sure that on the electrical panel, the previous owner didn't replace the AirPax breakers with plain switches. They look alike but they are actually circuit breakers on the electrical DC panel.

I don't know what year or what model you have but on a 1985 10 Meter Express that I owned the boat was not manufactured with a pumpout deck plate. I had to add it.
It only came with a treatment system that pumped the waste overboard after being treated.

Bernie - I think you have an express, not a mid cabin. Isn't the holding tank on the express between the engines? That would make more sense from what you're describing.

hey bob,

holding tank is up front. the only thing between the engines is the battery box. another friend called me today and said there is no port under the battery charger as I saw in a photo on line. I think we have what is described in the post by Jerry just before yours. I will be on the boat this weekend and will do some more research.

again thanks
