HI, been working on the electrics, replaced the horn relay, now they work. tracing out the high water alarm circuits, continuity throught all bilge float switches. the delay relay is probibly toast, all rusted. any ideas? is this a standard item? part number is 27-226.

Bob ct if you read this, thanks for the diagrams. I found some more in the boat that are a little different than what you sent me. pm or email me your snail mail address and I will send you a copy. I don't have any scan ability.

thanks,

I don't believe mine has a "delay" relay.

lift any of the 3 alarm bilge switched and the horn will toot.

I did add and label a very visible rocker switch in the ceiling of the salon to disable the horn if needed.

yea, it is there on our boat. labelled delay relay on the dc board accessible from the front berth. I think what it might do is toot the horn in short bursts rather than let it sound constantly.

Bob at beacon says he has them in stock, so we will order one and see what happens.

the relay looks like a florescent bulb starter, with blade connectors instead of the pins. also 3 pins not two.

problibly could be replaced with an automotive flasher, but not sure as I don't know what is inside of it. I will know after I replace it with a new one. that is what they make can openers for!!!!!!
