This is a question that has been bothering me for a while. When the transmission mounts to teh bell housing, wether Borg Warner, Paragon or others is the bolt pattern the same or standard and is the stabbing jackshaft from the transmission the same number of splines and depth for all?

the answer I have found is no. the GM bell housing side should be te same, at least on a GM, but each transmission could be different, I am repowring and switching from Velvet Drive 71c's to Twin-Disc 502's and I had to use and adapter plate from to fit the transmission to the bell housing.

FYI regarding Paragon Drive. It to can be used on either rotation engine. Cast on the input seal boss is labeling' "this side up for right rotation" and' "this side up for Left rotation". It is obviously one would take out the pump cover bolts and flip the cover and pump depending on engine rotation.

Paul "prowlerfish" mentioned that the borg warner velvets could be switched, just interesting that the Paragons can as well.

I have a picture of it and will post later.
