Looking at possibly buying the subject. Is there anything I should know, or look for, good or bad?
Any comments, assistance would be appreciated.
Thanks!
Dave

First of all welcome to the forum.

My advice is to get a survey done by a reputable surveyor. That will reveal the true condition of the vessel and all it's problems & good points. There are several here who own a very similar vessel & I'm sure they will be along to share their particular points with you.

Survey

Yes, agree that a survey is a must. Appreciate the comment!

I am seeking general comments ie: That was a bad year for glass, there are stringer issues, poor wiring, watch for leaky areas, flybridge make the boat unstable, etc. All positive comments are of course also welcomed. :D

What model ? they made 2 30 footers that year . No real issues , but Bare in mind that any 35 year old boat can have any number of issues . how the the boat was taken care of is the biggest factor . seen some that age that are like new cond and some that are junk.

Welcome aboard Dave,

This is my first year with a F30 Express cruiser, the twin engines make it so easy to manuver in tight spots and with such a shallow draft stopping at the local beaches is no problem. It is very stable in the rough water, fuel economy is good if your cruising slow, if you rock on it your gonna pay, with the price of fuel these days fill-ups bring a tear to your eye. Overall I have nothing bad to say about them. The only thing I can say to watch out for are ROCKS! If you do go ahead and purchase it, ENJOY IT.
