First Trojan, First Post, First Question

Just bought my first Trojan, a 1981 F-26. Sold a 1980 Bayliner Saratoga 2550. Been checking out the forum and am finding out lots of good information.
I have a quick question about the boat. I set about hoeing out all the "goodies" that the previous owner left me. I came across a poly tank almost all the way forward under the V berth. It looks to be about a 20 gallon tank.
Is this some sort of water ballast tank? I have located the fresh water tank, black water holding tank, and the water heater, but this tank is a mystery. Any ideas?

nice photo.

welcome to the forum.

Between this Forum, Beacon Marine and Marine Tech, you may just find as much, if not more suppoort than what you could get from the company wh produced your previous boat and is still n business.

Just ALOT of cleaning. She was a bit neglegted on the exterior by the previous owner. She's getting powerwashed and scrubbed tomorrow, as well as new black trim stripes. All in all, it looks to be in pretty solid shape.

Welcome to the forum. Nice looking boat. I think the tank in question is a holding tank. See if it dont have a couple of 1 1/2" lines on it. The one going from the bottom of the tank up to a fitting on your top deck. If it does thats you holding tank for sure.

Before? It looks great already. My '78 only has one big windshield. Do your small windows below the main windshield open ?

Oh and post more pics, we all love to see other Trojans.

oh my god she's ADORABLE!!! sorry, it's the only word i can use to describe this boat. she looks solid as a rock and you will not find a better ride than in that trojan hull!!
if it ever comes down to being 'just myself', in order to stay in boating i'd pick something like this cute little number. i love the classic lines of her!! please, show us pics of her after the detailing. any interior pics?

and, like everyone else above me said, WELCOME to the forum. i think you will find us 'trojaners' are a devoted group.

Aaron, I agree, the F26 has very nice "classic" lines and is tied with the F32 for prettiest Trojan.
