I am wondering how to change the gas filters on my Trojan. The engines are 318 Cryslers. The gas filters are mounted on the bulkhead and are orange. Thank so much.

seesea. They are bolted from the top, you can get a wrench on it even though it's a little tight to get at. unscrew the bottom little bolt and drain the fuel out first, then look at the bottom of the container and see if theres any water in there.

Thanks so much Lawman. So you just drain the filter and reuse it? Is their anything you need to replace? Thank so much

I would replace both filters. You might have hunt around alittle but you will find them and once you do, stock up on them. I change mine out every fall this way I can drain, inspect for water. Don't want water in there over the winter. Great lookin' boat have'nt seen many of these on here! Are you takin' her out for Irene???

She made it through IRENE . Watched her bob up and down on the mooring all day. Now they're watching KATIA. It will be a hurricane very soon.
