The old girl is getting blasted as I sit here at work. I took before pics and will load them on the blog and then will get after pics this weekend! It is starting to look as if it is an actual boat again!

Looking forward to seeing the before and after pictures. I've been considering blasting the bottom of my boat for years, but I always find other things to spend my money on.

Well we had a 9,000 boat budget and we paid 1000 for the boat so I have money for the engine and soda and the 4 million other things we needed!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Am also interested in costs as well.
On another note..has anyone any experience with dry ice blasting? Also used for marine applications, very small iice pellets that work the same way as the soda, but evaporates

This is why many marinas don't allow people to blast on the property - combination of the mess, potential damage to others boats, as well as the residue being classed as hazardous waste and needing to be disposed of properly (because of the chemicals and metals content in the antifouling being blasted off).
Torcan - if you are thinking of getting something done make sure you ask around first to find a place you can have it done at without hassles. If your marina is a member of the 'Clean Marine' program, you probably can't do it there.

Many marinas round here allow it but they picky on who it is , for good reason . they make sure the contractor doing it takes steps to contain there work. the cheap fly by night blasters get run off . the marina I haul at is a "Green Marina" and they allow it , the blasters build a tent around the hull .
