How do you remove the mirror over the bed? Mine has a lot of black marks so I would like to get it re-made over the winter.
I see one clip at the top and the track on the bottom but can't get it to move.
Didn't one of you guys say you can access the inside of the anchor locker when it's removed too?

Bob, this also has stopped me from removing mine. I am sure that the top clips are supposed to move up and then the mirror lifts out of the bottom track. I stopped trying this summer as I will make this a winter project when I install a windlass and cut in a access panel. Don't know if I will put large mirror back up or mount a smaller one. Afraid I'll break the mirror and don't want any more bad luck!!!

Mine is hinged and lifts up. Behind it is a hole into my anchor locker.

We are all just prisoners here, of our own device.

Bob, the top clips get stiff over the years. I used a screw driver and a lite tap with a mallet to knock the clips up, the first time.
The bulhead behind has no access panel. I cut one in when the I installed the windlass.

thanks Sherman, what did you use for an access panel? A big deck plate? (not sure how big they get).
Tom, someone must have added yours at some point.
The other reason I might want to add access into the locker is my pulpit has a couple of cracks and the core is wet. I was thinking of removing it and working on it over the winter.
Once the railings are unbolted, I think it's just a bunch of bolts to get it off. I'll have to do it before it's shrinkwrapped though otherwise it's too late.

Bob,
I put in a large deck plate(8"). I'd like to put in a low profile hatch. But I'm not sure if the mirror could stay and the mirror does add depth to the stateroom.

Bob,
I think you are correct on the bolt on part.
I have reason to believe the balsa in my bow pulpit is also wet.
In the event you do yours, could you please share some photos with us?
Thanks,
RWS

Sherman, agree I don't want to get of the mirror either. I'm going to look around, maybe someone makes 12" deck plate.
RWS, will do. My plan was to remove it and grind out all the balsa from underneath and then do some minor cosmetic repair on top. I'll core it with something else I think.
