Hello all, sorry for the long absence. We had a great summer on our 10 meter mid cabin. Spent at least 25 nights on board. Now she is all set for winter and we staretd our off season work.
we are planning on replacing the coaming pads all around the cockpit. As we were taking them off today, I had to remove the coaming stoarge boxes. These are the storage inserts along the sides.
These storage inserts are in rough shape form 25 years of salt and sun. Does anyone have a supplier for replacing them? has anyone replaced them on their mid cabins or done anything different with them?

Scott,
I re-did mine last year. They were really yellow and had cracks in different places. I fixed the cracks with epoxy and screen mesh and then painted all four with plastic paint in white.
For the ones at the helm, I replaced the 1/4 round teak with 2.5" pieces so you can actually store something higher than a paper clip

Refinished the teak and they looks like new. It's a perfect project to do now because you can bring them all home.
The last thing I did was add those recessed SS washers behind the screws which they needed from day one. I'm guessing some of the screw holes are cracked too.

I will contatc Beacon,
Bob, The old boxes located in the forward have been sealed in place (5200 I think). I damaged one pretty good getting it out. The aft ones came out ok. I still have the one near the helm in place.

Here is a picture of the front coaming box that I removed. You can see the damage it incurred due to the sealant that was used. I wish they woudl have used 3M 4000 as that is removable.
I'm not sure if this could be repaired somehow or if anyone knows of a 10 meter that is being parted out. I did find a similar sized square one (34x9.5) from Great lakes skipper but I think it is designed to be mounted at an angle.
