Quick question.............'78 F-28 how thick is the hull bottom along the aft side of the keel, right near the salon rear wall? Less than 1" ? Trying to determine if I can install a shoot thru hull transducer/s? Humminbird says there's a thickness limit and boat is in water and not coming out for the winter.
Any help is appreciated.
Thanks

Yes, I believe it's less than 1"
You may wish to check this thread out as well, although it's not a shoot through.

Thanks. Looking to get a new 858c DI and want to mount the DI transducer in mineral oil and on the other side a Quad beam too. Don't need it now, but some sales are coming up now.............install in the spring.

Barry,
I have removed two thru the hull transducers from that exact area and the holes are presently empty. I will measure it tomorrow, it looks to be about 3/4 inch. We are talking about right and left of the keel under where you say your AC is?
See you Saturday

My 78 F28 is 7/8 inch thick 16 inches forward of engine bulkhead and 6 inches out from keel center line. I measure where there were some old transducers I removed.
