Fleetguard Venturi/Startapor Combo Oil Filter

Just changed the oil in my 7.3L Navistar diesel Excursion - and did some research on the best oil filters. Turns out Fleetguard (Cummins OEM) has 3 lines of filters, and their top of the line isn't that expensive ($36), so I bought and installed one and will be using it in my F32 moving forward.

Fleetguard Venture Version:

Fleetguard Stratapore media filter with a Stacked Disk partial flow filter to 5micron, which provides 30micron protection at 98.7% & 5 micron filtering @ 95% efficient.

It uses Stratapore for "Full Flow" filtering, with a Venturi to route a portion (5-10%?) through a 5 micron filtration system. Like having 2 filters in one (its an inch or so longer) - no need for a separate oil bypass filter.

Pretty cool. There are guys with Ford 7.3L engines in their trucks getting 500,000 miles on their engines (and still going).

They have them for many engines beside Cummins!
