An '85 for $4grand? Unless this thing was sunk, this only propagates the degradation of Trojan boat values. I have posted this before guys - don't sell your boats for less than they are worth. These are Trojans - they are real boats, and worth real money. Hold out for their real value. If you start selling them for $10K or less it makes it really hard for anyone to take a $40K price tag seriously.

This was a donated boat that has been unused for two years and I don't believe it was even stored properly. Boat Angel Ministries puts everything up for auction with NO minimum bid. They could possibly sell for 1 bid of $100 and be a $50,000 boat! The last Trojan they had was a possible 12-14 thousand dollar boat and it went for a little over $5,000.

I think I read on their site that their policy is : as is, where is; no ability to inspect; no ability to get a survey... It sounds like a pretty big gamble to me as you don't really know what you have bought until the ink is dry...

Well, 8,100.00 bought that boat.

I'm sure we'll have a new member here soon, asking all sorts of questions! :)

Do you know them? They had a boat down here and would not let the boat be seen in a boatyard??

They had 2 boats at the marina one person had to back out on the sale and they where fair about it . you can look at i them but they don't want to be liable if something happens so they tell you no , ask the marina the boats at bet they will let you look . if something is found different then whats listed the may let you back out .

But, hard to imagine buying a boat with "no ability to inspect".

Not for me - must have some real problems.

11 meter

Post by smiller192 »

I bought an 11 meter from them 2 years ago. It works like this, you bid on the boat, pay for it. You than have a period of time to inspect. If you find it was not what you expected. They will refund your money. They are very reputable. The boat I bought was in Miami (still is) and I live in Delaware. I repowered and redid all of the vinyl. In my case I paid just over $2,000.00 for the boat and maybe $12,000 additional. I owned a f36 and specically wanted an 11 meter. I bought the 36 the traditional way and had a lot more money in it than the 11 meter and it was a lot less boat. I would not recommend it for any one new to serious boating. that being said, $8,100.00 is getting pricey for an unknown. The 11 meter is a tremendous boat and very well executed by Trojan. I spent time on one when they were new and always wanted one.
