dead out of the water
well its happened. since I'm in ny along the Canadian border its the off season here , Ive made alot of progress since I bought my boat in late summer but have run into a major problem here. Ive removed EVERYTHING that I could from the boat and brought it either down cellar to rebuild or fix up "which the wife likes" or Ive parked it in the living room to stain and poly "which she HATES!!!" but Ive run out of parts to work on. It looks like I'm on a hold pattern until the weather breaks . now as Ive become obsessed with this project its been hard to not have something to do on it so to all of you that are in better areas that allow you in your boat start telling me stories / updates and mod's your presently working on!!!!!! I think I now know what a crack head goes through when his dealers are in jail . anyone doing anything to their boats lately????

right now not much. but, she's in the water at parkside marina, ice eaters underneath, but, thank the maker we have not had to use them. temps have been not too bad, a few days of 30f degree (-1.1c) weather , but, for the most part, they have been hovering around the 50f (10c) degree mark and have even hit the low to mid 60's. (15.5c) so, i pop on down to the boat.... it's only 10 miles (16.09km) away, if it's chilly i warm the cabin up w/ a marine heater, sack out on the salon sofa and watch some sci fi. its my great escape!!
this saturday the wife and i are gutting the cabin, i mean everything to replace the floor and joices if needed, we will be storing in shed, garage and game room to stard sanding wood, looks like this bathroom is an easy disassemble, ill find out. i have the new wiring format all designed so rewireing the cabin for tvs, lights etc should be easy, im also installing a tow eyelet while its gutted. sunday i hope to start building the scaffling to remove my motor, should be a large project

I don't live far from you, and I too am playing the waiting game. Nancy is over near Burlington/St Albans, VT, and shes doing the same along with us. Seems we have a glut of impatient boaters in our little corner of the world.trojanmanXS wrote:well its happened. since I'm in ny along the Canadian border its the off season here , Ive made alot of progress since I bought my boat in late summer but have run into a major problem here. jeff if you find yourself in need of pieces "wood trim work" needing to be done get ahold of me , my retired buddy does outstanding work and is "CHEAP!!!" he matched every piece of teak on my boat with cherry..I did see that ebay boat up before must not have sold, yeah I stole the led light idea from him too, Wife got me a 24ft to go around the cockpit and another 8ft to be placed somewhere unknown at the moment.
