Ok i have a paragon vdrive a 351 and a 71 trojan f26. i have on the boat now a 15 x 8 LHD prop. I also have a 14 x 10 RHD prop. Can I switch props and use reverse as forward? The shaft comes out in middle of boat.

Maybe stupid question but i need a prop with more pitch/bite.

NO

Are you serious? Do you even have separate throttle and shifter?

I don't think this is a good idea - even with tseparate throttle/shifter. - would you turn the shifter around or what? Are the reverse gears the same ratio?

Some of the V-Drives have different ratios for forward and reverse (I know at least Borg Warner does), so check the model plate....., and you may want to check with the manufacturer (or support center)directly with your model handy and see what they say.

My gut says make sure you are not saving a penny today to spend a buck later. Been there done that.
