Draining old gas

What is the best way to drain crud and old gas from the tanks? Boat had not been used for two years when I bought her, had problems with junk plugging filters on our trip home ( after running one tank all the way down). Ran OK for 6 months until we pulled her out for refurb, has been sitting out for about 16 months (more than I anticipated). Do I need to drain old gas and get rid of the crud? If so , what is the best and safest way. Probably 50-60 gals in tanks.
Thanks,

I went through the same thing with my 36 recently - I installed an electric marine fuel pump (Carter) and 30 ft of fuel hose. I pumped the gas into 5 gallon containers (I had four of them). I let the gas set in the containers for a week, and then decanted and filtered the gas into another 5 gal container. Whenever I filled up my truck, I would add 5 gals of the decanted gas. The brownish yellowish stuff that was left, I poured out a little bit every day on a towel on my concrete pad to evaporate. It took me a while, but I got rid of 350 gals this way.
Ouch

Sounds like a lot of work. I traded mine for a free summer of lawn mowing. My lawn guy showed up with a couple of plastic 55 gal drums and I helped him drain it (siphon) and he hauled it off in his truck ...
