Well, after last year of trying just about every polish out there, mucho $$ and much aching muscles, I could NOT get the Hull to shine like glass. Some of the repairs that were done to the Hull, would just not come nice.

So... this year, after researching, and trying out the product on an oxidized piece of Fiberglass at the boat show, I was impressed and couldn't wait to give it a try. And yes, it is Poli-Glow.

First I cleaned it up with the cleaner they provide, then started wiping the wax on, easy as running a wet cloth. Product goes on wet, and dries very fast. The time it took me to get around the boat, the 1st coat was dry. I put 7 coats on, took me all of 2 hours, with the drying time, to wash, just mild soap and water. And, I still have half a bottle left for next year if necessary.

Rooferdave can attest to the results, as we are both members of the same club and he saw the before, and the results that I have now.

I also added the Red stripe between the Anti-fouling and the newly replaced Gold stripe.

I think you will too. You'll also notice getting dirt and bird droppings will hose off and leave no marks.

I have heard from a few people that you should not use any harsh cleaners on it. Just use soap and water. The couple who have a boat like ours used it on their boat but when they used some grey streak remover, it took the shine off from their boat.

Just take care of it and it should look nice for a long time. Looks great!

Just make sure you follow the directions, and if you are going to do topside, make sure it gets done first, otherwise the cleaner will run down and remove the wax job on the hull, and you'll have to redo it again.
1st coat is a bit streaky, but as you add a few coats, it comes out all flat and shiny.

It looks great, I am happy with it. And my 32 year old boat was impossible to bring back to a shine with anything else. I tried them all. Believe me, had the aches to prove it.

Karate Kid, "Wax on, Wax off" sucked.

Definitely looks good! I think mine looks pretty good too, but won't really be able to tell until I get it out of the shed to launch on Monday. Shed lighting sucks, and 1000W work light is just too strong to really see things right.

But... I think it should look pretty good based on this shot..

Wax On, Wax Off!!!

Meguiar's Boat/RV Polish (#45) first, then Flagship Premium Marine Wax. Polishing takes about 2.5-3 hours per side, waxing about 1.5-2 hours per side, and about an hour for each on the transom. No power buffer, because I am scared I could burn through the 33 year old gel or end up with swirls I can't get rid of.

I still have to do the superstructure - launching early this year to save someone a few hundred$$$ so just didn't get to it yet - but I use the same products for toe rail, flybridge fairing, salon sides, and around the cockpit (all the glossy glass topsides). Non-slip gets done with a different product from Aurora that gets sticky when wet.

I put 7 coats on, F25 and still have a little less than 3/4 of the bottle left.
But I didn't do the topside, it was just cleanned up, the make-up of my topside doesn't polish, except for where the Trojan decals are.
