So i've looked at the insignias that are forsale and the colors just dont line up to what i'm seeing on mine. I want to refinish them but need some guidance on the colors. Let me know if you in agreement?

Those are not origionals, that was my first thought, already called on them. Any Tri-Cabs 74-75 out there still have color on theirs?

No no... Didn't mean to come off like that. Appriciate the feedback. I've been thinking for a long time on just buying those replacements.

Just thought it would be more cost effective to just repaint mine, but was unsure on the paint placement since its 99% gone.

It's all good Aaron
Hopefully someone here still has the paint scheme and can help you out.
BTW.. those that are for sale are Heavy Duty Plastic, not metal as well.
My co-club guy rooferdave informed me of that, I think he bought a set for himself.

I have been looking online at colour ads from that era, e-bay etc and zoomed into the pic and captured it.
None that I saw had any orange
only white behind the helmet.

I will throw my opinion in as I have the originals and man they did not hold up well.

The background behind the helmet was originally gray not white to offset it from the white fiberglass.

Helmet blue.

Trojan lettering was chrome with black background

I had decals made for my boat, this photo was taken before I repainted the window frames

i wonder if you could sand or dremel thge pits out and then shoot it with some clear lacquer?

If we knew the actual FONT style, we could have some nice emblems made.

Yours came out really nice, the red looks good. I refinished mine several years ago, First I wire wheeled them, (a soft wheel with light pressure) then used a black primer followed by semi gloss black. Everything else was painted by hand, I used an aluminum color for the border, the blue is chrysler blue. They usually last 3-4 years before I redo them, only takes a few hours. It's a good winter project
