Well i had a great weekend at the boat. Wife and kids stayed home and I got a LOT done.

1. Oil Change finished.
2. Trans Fluid Change finished.
3. Galley Faucet replaced with nice new all in one sprayer! Wife loves that. :)
4. installed black marble tile counter top in master bath, wow it looks nice.
5. Installed my newly refinished Trojan Insignias.
6. Installed my Trojan Flag! :) Love IT!
7. Cleaned the bridge.
8. Caulked all floors on the bridge.
9. Watched the install of the new canvas! Looks awesome!

Worked so hard, i didn't get to go out for a cruise yet. Question though for those with V-Drives, how often do you change the oil in them? Annually? I've owned her for 4 seasons now, probably have ~120hrs on her, oil is crystal clean in the V-Drives.

Two part cleaner/brightened and 3 coats of golden teak oil. Used polyurethane 3 years ago, going this route this time. Love the look and non-slip surface when wet.

Thanks for the words folks.

Any comments on the V-Drive oil change? How often do other owners change that oil?

Looking great Aaron!!!! Way to represent the Tri!!
I try to change my tran oil every 2 years, and run it across a magnet to see if there's any metal flakes.

Thanks. Its a labor of love for sure. My job is stressful and I'm behind a desk running a huge organization, traveling all the time. Unplugging and working with my hands on counter tops, oil changes and fixing her up is HARD work, but VERY relaxing for me.

This season she is really at a point where I'm trying to find stuff to upgrade or work on. In the end, i think it will just be a great season of family fun. We spend the weekends at the dock with our family, Father/Monther-in-law have "Tinker Toy" right next to us. We will be driving a mile east and anchoring off of the beach many times this summer.

One change this year will be less "on plane" cruising and more putting. Fuel prices are just out of control. Last season when i had a starter fail and we came back from a weekend in Put-in-bay on one engine it was relaxing to go that slow and not have to focus on the drive the whole way. Then when we docked 3 hrs later (20 miles in 3hrs) and used only 1/4 a tank on one engine i was SHOCKED!

More slow cruises for me. Enjoy the summer everyone!
