ok here it comes. I'm cheap!!!! I also have a buddy that owns rents/sells camper trailers. I was just talking to him and he said he had a dutchman camper that is 30ft long, heavy duty axles 5,500 lbs rate new tires and will sell it for $300. this camper looked like a newer model but a tree had fallen on it . can a trailer like this be converted to hold the trojan ? what hicups might one run into trying this ?

Dont go far. Get high risers and good bunks. Ur heavier than 5500 lbs. i pulled it off with a dual but it didnt look good

I agree with Jeff, your boats weight is well over the maximum for that trailer rating.
Without a lot of upgrading, re-enforcing, etc.. your taking a huge risk, not to mention the fines and a loss of insurance if something goes wrong and they find you were negligent.
Might end up being "Cheaper" to look around for a used dual tandem trailer in the long run.

buddy in all honesty!!! my mover saw my boat and he said, quote!!! Thats a big 25!! just think about it. If your gonna trailor the boat to water as a norm I have to say no, just for your safty, you will spend big bucks making this trailor right for you. Assuming you want to trailor this big girl. IMO

Thankfully I am now, for the time, out of the trailer business. Until getting the 32 I was dealing with a 26 SeaSwirl WA. It was on a twin axle galv. beam trailer. Trailer was rated at 10,500 and even loaded I don't think we got much more than 9000 on it ever. It was a Load-Rite.

The little Sea Ray work boat is on a similar early 80's Load-Rite. Seemingly if you take care of them they do a good job. Wouldn't know about using anything else.

Sea Ray is about to get put up for sale. Anyone need a work boat? I need a Whaler now that I have the F boat. Old arrangement just isn't gonna work anymore.

ok so I cant cheap out on the trailer. my only thought was it being a new frame with the brakes allready set up and working coupled with the price I thought I could get out of it for under $500. What does an f26 weigh ? I checked the title but it doesnt state the weight of it . any idea?

An F26 weighs at least 6,000 lbs. Add on the weight of additional equipment and you will be well over 5,500 lbs.

F-25 is 5400lbs stock

The F-25 is 5,300lbs and the F-26 is 5,450lbs I only know this because of the research I am doing for the book.

WTH, . I spent 2 weeks trying to buy a cheap used trailor from a trailor store. Owner said his book listed the 25 express at 5400 and the 25 sea raider at 4500... Think i need to go have a word with him

Jeff I fixed my typo. your F-25 is 5,300 lbs according to Trojan's factory paperwork.

who has a good pic of an f26 sitting on a trailer , curious to see how high up they sit. I know I remember someone in here trailers theres all the time but cant remember who.
