Single vs dual fuel gauge sending units.

I have new fuel tanks from SP tanks not installed yet. It just occurred to me that SP and I never discussed the need for dual station sending units in the tanks. A check with SP says they always use single ones and a marine electrician would be of help. They have double ones in stock and I have offered to pay shipping and difference in cost. Not heard back yet.
Can the sending signals be attunated or amplified to accomplish the dual station gauges. I really do not think so.
More research on this fuel gauge thing. It appears that 240 ohm when full is the industry standard now. My old sending units read 120 ohm on full. Apparently there may be no special dual fuel tank gauges, they are wired in parallell and both fly bridge and salon controls are on when engines running and sample the same ohm reading.
