Wife wants doors for the sides of the aft deck, What do you guys think of this camper setup ?

Don't blame her. The canvas can be a pain unzipping to get in and out of everytime you want to get through while still trying to keep weather and critters out. The framed look is nice but more labour intensive. A lot of guys simply buy a sheet of clear 1/2 or 3/4 inch clear plexi for a one piece door. The real hard part is fitting/contouring the pieces that stay fixed/fastened to the boat to lock and hang hinges on.
She was a 1969 36 ft wooden beauty with big blue 440s that we'll miss forever.

The Viking aft cabin behind me has doors like that , I think is a good idea .

Carver 4207 just down the dock from me has them..... photos to follow.
His design is plastic door and side framing forward. The outer aft edge is wood framed with the aft canvas clipped to it. You vessel being smaller may not need the forward glassed in area.

Starboard is also used a lot for this app if you're looking for no maintenance material.

not to be off subject, but, can someone explain the 'window' air conditioner in pic #29? how and why? i am clueless on that setup.
