ENTERPRISE DEPARTS MONDAY AT 0800.....

yep, you saw it here first. tri cabin enterprise will be departing parkside marina for sue island marina at 0800 monday morning for her haul out, bottom paint, prop/strut repair and hull wax. i'm way too excited guys. not sure why, but i'm just thrilled with anticipation. and yes, i will take and post pics for you all of that prop. i have a buddy from the marina meeting me at sue island to shuttle me back to parkside to my car, but, i'm going to do this by myself. something tells me i need to. i think i can handle her for the low speed cruise and jerry is going to monitor the vhf and cell phone. i just have to do this alone. not sure why, but i'm drawn to it. the travel lift will be standing by from 0930 until 1100 for me, and ryan, the marina manager, is ready and willing and able to stand by if departure is delayed.

my oncologist however has STRICTLY WARNED me that i cannot be within even 100 yards of the boat when the power washing and barnacle scraping take place. the risk of infection from microbes is too high. she did say that i can be around the boat once all the marine growth is gone to assist in painting and other chores.

she even said, that while on treatment, once the boat is refloated, if i so much as fall in at the marina, i'm to head to the nearest ER for a double infusion of anti biotics. no ifs, ands, or buts on that one.

Sounds like a good plan Aaron and I'm sure your trip will be just what you need it to be.

Have fun and be safe. Looking forward to the pics of the prop.

Thats great news Aaron. I am excited for you. You are going to do just fine and I know Enterprise is up to the task as well. Just go with the flow and let Enterprises systems help you to your destination.

Oh, and if you see a crab pot, turn. ;)

lol... yeah i know... the crab pot!! my nemesis to be sure. if only i had a deflector array!! i might have to delay departure until tuesday. i walked maccabee at 0315 this morning (long story) and it was quite breezy and the sky looked really threatening. we've had rain all night long, off and on, that was preceded by a really bad storm last evening around 1745. if i delay a day it's really no big deal. i'm just stoked about getting some stuff done on her, (thank's dad for the sheckels to do it!!!) and getting that prop fixed so i might actually have some control.

Good, so its only one strut. Thank G-d. Pesky crab pots. Who puts that $hit there? Crab fisherman?

Ba$tards.

So glad you made it Aaron. My gut tells me it was an awesome time for you and only had one or two very slight but amusing mishaps. Enterprise is a tough old Trojan and with your lifelong experience and knowledge you must have had a great time today. I am so happy for you.

Thank you Paul for keeping us all in the loop. You really are an asset to the community here.
