UPDATE FROM AARON... PHYSICAL TODAY AND POSITIVE NEWS

greetings fellow trojan owners. again, i cannot thank you all enough for your kind thoughts, prayers, and compassion and support these last few weeks. last week was a really bad week physically for me. some really rough stuff was taking place.
today i had a physical and my radiation oncologist looked things over. he said that i really looked good and he was pleased that my blood pressure was steady 120/82 (it never varies by much week to week) and my weight has been level at 135.5 lbs. he said that i had an excellent body mass ratio and is pleased that my eating, 5-6 small meals, is good. he then looked at the 'treatment area' and said that the results, thus far, show very positive results and that i am where he expected me to be at the start of week 3. now, while not popping any champagne corks or tossing confetti, i'm optimistic. he did say though that i really needed to be more cognizant of my pain management. he said that rather than waiting for the pain to kick in, i needed to maintain more of steady level. okay, point taken.
so, i just thought i'd pass that piece of news onto you all. i could not be where i am now, without the continued support of you fine people. for that, i am eternally greatfull.

regards.

This is all very positive, Aaron! Sounds like good advice on pain management. I believe your body will struggle more to heal if it's also in pain. I also believe that if you let the pain get ahead of you, it's harder to get it back under control. So while you probably hate taking those drugs, I hope you can find a happy medium.

like i mentioned to you this afternoon when i spoke to you, i just need to figure out how to maintain the steady flow into my system. and, you're right about pumping more stuff into my body. i HATE that, especially since the pain meds tend to 'bind' and that's the last thing i need. however, he did give me something to ease things in that respect. he just marveled though that my weight and bp and bmi have maintained a steady state. he also said that i came into treatment a fairly healthy and physically fit individual, which, in the long run, tends to help things along.

thanks allen. appreciate it. it's a tough ride though. i will be glad when treatment is over and things begin to heal and even out. it's amazing how one small area can create such havoc pain wise to a persons body. trillions of nerve endings and all of them are pissed off. i hate this. i really do, but, it's giving me the fight that i need to win this.

Hey Aaron,

Sometimes you have to adopt the stance:"Better living throgh chemestry" to avoid the pain or other crap within your reason.

I did not have any pain so really don't knwo all the bad you are having.
