Hello All,
Hope you've had a nice summer thus far.
Question on the AC/DC Breaker Panel. My 1975 F30 has this switch/round knob with 3 positions past 0: 0, 1, 2, 3.
Would you happen to know what these refer to and what each position means? There is an Inverter hooked up.
Thx kindly.

Welcome aboard. I'd say this is an after market switch that was installed perhaps to accommodate the inverter if it is integrated into the ships entire AC system. Marine AC source selector switches will be labeled to indicate the source such as "Shore", "Ship" or "Generator", "Inverter", "Shore 1/2" etc. Easy enough to tell which source each number represents by simply turning off inverter and genny, plug in shore power, and rotate the switch until an AC load turns on (lamp, microwave, or meter at panel, etc). Then label that selection. Disconnect shore power, turn on the genny and again rotate the switch until loads turn on again and label, and repeat. You may also have two AC inlets to consider for a 50 amp service sometimes managed by a rotary selector source switch or breakers. Typically a source selection switch for marine apps have an "Off" position in between two source selections, ie "SHORE - OFF - SHIP", this way a source is physically disconnected before connecting to the next source. Also check to see how many wires from each source are hooked up to the switch, should be at least a 2 pole switch so you can hook up the hot and neutral from each source. If it's not a marine unit, this may not be the case.
