i dont even want to imagine the fuel consumption of that thing... that and why would you even need 3 motors in it...

not to mention how TIGHT the engine compartment is for normal servicing. and, where would the exit point be for the centre engine. they would have to do some heavy modification to the full length keel would they not? i'd love to see an out of the water view of her. did you guys notice how 'busy' the instrument panel is? my god, all those dials and warning lights and levers. it's like the flight deck of a boeing 727 (for you younger lads, the 727 was a 3 engine passenger plane produced in the early 1960's, powered by 3 pratt & whitney jt8d fanjets. )

enjoy the sound of the 3 pratts on takeoff!!

945 hp divided by 3 equals 315
this boat has three Yanmar 6LP turbodiesels.
Same engines I am running in my 10 Meter
My WOT is 27.1 kts or 31.8 mph
Wonder what his WOT is?
especially as these engines weigh far less than the 454's

A lot less then the twin engine gasser at cruse .
At WOT the max fuel burn would be 56 GPH about the same as 2 big blocks maybe a little less ? but should be faster .
Not sure why they when for 3 engines added runing gear = added drag . why not twin 450 HP diesels ? Or better yet twin 480HP QSBs ?

Sounds neat to have a triple but you will also have triple the repairs and maintenance. I would like to see where the center line strut and shaft are and if there is a third rudder.

$139,900 for a 1979?
isn't that quite steep?

$140k

Wow - pass that over after you're finishing toking on it ...
Engines look a little crusty on this ridiculous 3-engine thing.

Coolest I have seen is a 35' (I think) Chris Craft Commander. Roughly '69 or very early 70's vintage. Twin gas engines, with a diesel 'kicker' (60-80hp) with shaft coming out through the end of the keel, with 3-blade folding prop.
Uses the gas engines to maneuver around the docks and get out to where he wants to fish, then kills the gas and fires up the single diesel to putter for hours a trolling speed.

Some of the larger post war Chris Crafts had 4 engines, a fad that didn't last long. I like the idea of the 3 engine Chris Craft.

I Personally just don't see a need nor a point to have 3 motors honestly... but htats just me
