Looks likes she runs great! That's a great feeling...congrats!

On a side note, coming down the ladder with your back to the treads just makes me think of an accident waiting to happen...

LOOKS AND SOUNDS GREAT!!!

I felt like I was on my boat!!!

What was the HP of the new engines?

I like the insulation on your engine hatches. This is a winter project for me.

When you had it WOT your throttles were in the exact same position as mine.

On a good day, you should get 24 knots, but your gas gauge will plummet!!

Glad you kept the blue bottom! That was the original color.

I think you and I have the same bimini top. I noticed you had the straps tied to the railing. There are supposed to be two eye hooks on the the front corners of the flybridge and two at the stern on the main cabin roof to attach the straps to. If you like I will send a picture.

Also, here is a little secret . . . Scotts Liquid Gold (any Ace or Home Depot will have it) works great on the black plastic dashes and switchboards. It actually turns it black again and last for quite a while! And it wont be greasy!

thanks for the tips dave. the bimini is coming off. we are having a hard/t-top made for the fly bridge as we speak. never did like biminis. we are having a slight issue with the port side temp readings on the guages. i put in new 140 degree thermostats in and the port side engine guage is reading 180 degrees. but when you shoot the engine in various places with a lasor temp guage it reads 140 everywhere. the starboard engine guages are reading around 140. not sure where the problem is. any idea?

the engine hatch insulation is just 1 inch styrofoam. its not in that good of shape. it will be replaced some time down the road.
the engines are from california engines. chrysler 318's 225 hp. we had her up to 24 mph at 3000 rpm's. we didnt push her. we are in an 8 hour break in period. the first day out was 2 hours. thats probably how we will do it. go out for a couple hours, make notes, go back to the slip and tweek.

I'm sure others on here are more qualified to render this opinion

If u are getting laser readings @ 140 seems like the problem is with the temp gauge or sending unit.

Hey James. i saw your boat at harbortown marina last week while i was staying there for the weekend on my Trojan. I was looking to see how many Trojans i could see and i believe i counted 5. Glad to hear Loon A Sea had a good seatrial Saturday. Ill be staying there again sept 22-24 for the Cocoa Beach airshow. Fish in the morning then watch our Navy and Airforce show off their wares both days. I usually stay on Dock A, My boat is the Clas-Sea 26 foot Trojan . Hey Carly that sounds great. I would love to check out the airshow myself. I think my dad will have to go back to tn by then. He has to get home to get his gear ready to go to New Mexico on his annual elk hunt. But I most likly will be around. I will look for you. And yes the resturaunt does have pretty good food there. And the frostyest beer mugs.
