Beautiful woodie. Thought the F meant fiberglass in the F series.

normally it does. could be a misprint. i do know that the superstructure is fiberglass though. she is beautiful, but man, the work to maintain her. still she's a nice example of the old days of yachting.

Don't see how she can be an "F" series vessel. She would have to be fiberglass hull, deck and superstructure I thought, no?.

lol i love how brokers screw things up. i actually emailed one a few weeks ago when the specs stated that the genset was onan. looking at the pics, the genset was red and had westerbeke printed all over it. now how in the name of all that is holy screw something like that up? i mean, it could not have been more 'in your face.'

Beautiful...

but,

maintaining that boat would be a CAREER !

(also note the exposed light bulb with no explosion proof cover in the engine room - bad on a gas boat)

A fine ship indeed. I picked up a 1970 42Ft. in July. Out of the water for 20 years. Just put her in last Friday. Lots of work / hull / engines etc. Everything inside original except carpet. Soaking now for 5 days with one 1/2 hour cruise. Looks very close to this one but 5 ft shorter. Rides smoothly, velvet drives trans. works perfect. Overheating in port engine at 1500 rpm but cool at 1000....go figure..more work to do. I've been reading your forum for the past 3 months through my project. Great insight from members. Fun to be "aboard" Now off to marina to check bilge level ( still taking on a bit of water...but sealing up better every day.) 3rd time today.

Cheers!
