L'SHANAH TOVA, (AND NEWS ABOUT AARON'S DAD)

before i forget, just wanted to wish all my fellow trojan 'members of the tribe' and those that are adopted into it, :) a shanah tova (sunday evening-monday evening) and a good week of reflection. may your fast be easy next week on yom kippur. may the 'new year' be all you make of it. may you and your family be inscribed in THE BOOK OF LIFE for yet another year.
on another note, some of you know dad from the rendezvous a few years ago. on monday, he's going to have his hip replaced, which has been a source of continual pain. when i asked him what brought him to do this, he simply stated, ''if i don't correct this now, i'll be in a wheel chair. and, because i want to go boating with my son.'' i can't fault him for that. who am i to argue with my 81 year old father. i know he'd love to hear from some of you, so, if you want, send him some well wishes at:

m.m.bocknek@gmail.com

thanks guys. i know you all worked wonders for me, i know dad would appreciate it. he means the world to me, and i hope the surgery makes his life more comfortable. and i cannot wait to have him at my side when i take
ENTERPRISE out for a run.

thanks paul, i know he will appreciate the well wishes when i speak with him later this morning. whenever we talk, he ALWAYS asks about you and janis. he really has fond memories of our luncheon at the crab claw on rendezvous day. the one picture that i am looking forward to is the one of he and i at the helm of ENTERPRISE. i know he's just itching to to hitch a ride. actually, what i'd really love is to have my older brother and his two sons along for the ride with us. imagine, several generations of the boating bocknek family all in one package!!

thanks allen, appreciate it. dad is slated for a 10am slot, my brother is standing by to give updates as they happen today. this type of surgery lasts around 4.5 hrs, so it's going to be a nail biter of a morning. once i know what is going on, i'll post an update here.
he's very appreciative of the well wishes from some folks he does not even know. i told him that this is what this site is all about. when one is down, they all come running. after all, he's got some seniority too when it comes to this. i wonder if he's the longest owner of a trojan at 36 years of continuous ownership of the same vessel? anyway, i'll keep everyone posted.
