ENTERPRISE SPLASHES TODAY !!
well gang, it's official. around 1500 local, ryan will be lifting ENTERPRISE from her blocks and gently lowering her back into the water. she will rest overnight on a floating dock at sue island marina/boat yard, and tomorrow, saturday the 22nd around 1300, she will make her way back to parkside marina under the command of myself, my friend mike kulp (mr. trojan international) and my partner phil. i know, phil is actually going along. he's been whining about it all week trying to clear his renovation schedule long enough to maybe, just maybe, enjoy a boat ride on the tri cabin. i'm looking forward to stretching her legs and running her up a bit. pics of the splash will follow later this evening i hope.

i'm actually looking forward to running her up. the only thing i'm hesitant about is my energy level. for some reason, this week has been really rough nearly a week post radiation. for some reason, i feel like i don't have any get up and go. i understand that often, the first few weeks after are the roughest. now i know why. either way, i've got a crew, (i'm still gobsmacked that phil actually WANTS to go along, but hey, maybe he's finally coming around, who knows) good weather is predicted for tomorrow, and i just want her home so i can putz around on her as i'm recovering. excited test out the reconditioned prop too!!! i'm already thinking ahead to next year--- props off to be retuned and balanced and the remainder of the hull 'racing stripes' removed. i think she will look a whole lot better. those stripes just make her look busy.summer storm wrote:Have fun and burn some fuel!

thanks nancy. i'm really stoked to get her moving, especially with mike kulp coming along. i learn a ton from him and he's really patient with me. check out the other thread of her in the water.Nancy wrote:Great new, Aaron! Have a wonderful time! It will be good to have her back in her slip. Starting Sunday, you can go there to putter and take snoozes.
