I sold my 1985 Trojan 10 meter and bought a Carver Mariner. Living aboard the boat the Carver just has a better araingment. Can I still ask questions here or will I be shunned and have to go to a carver site that no one participates in. :)

Thanks

Ask away you won't be shunned Maybe a little harassment ( in good fun) We are all Boaters here and we face many of the same issues regardless of the brand.

BTW Congrats on the new boat !

I think carver still owns the rights to the Trojan yachts name so consider yourself part of the family by marriage. :)

hell, phil and i were actually thinking, very seriously i might add, of buying a carver mariner, circa 1985 to 1989, prior to the redesign into the 'jetsons' look. what we loved is the single level layout, tons of usable space, wide side decks and the big boat feel in just 32 feet. it just so happened that we found a great looking tri cabin just around the corner from us. i'm glad i have what i have, but, i still like the 'vintage mariner'. that engine compartment is rather tight though, even for a beanpoll like me. but, as far as you being shunned from this site, put that aside.

yes indeed, carver yachts still owns the rights to the TROJAN name and branding, as well as associated wordmarks and logos. so no, you are still family.

those carvers are great. They are absolutely cavernous inside. Tons of room upstairs too. Lots of room to get at the engines as they are under the back deck. My father's best bud keeps his at da'd dock.
