I routinely check a NOAA site for wave heights and other data for the Great Lakes since I am on lake Michigan. The following image was just copied tonight and shows the wave heights across the Great Lakes due to the high winds with Hurricane Sandy. No matter where you are, 24 foot waves are huge and 47 knot winds are howling.

Great to hear Paul... now we keep our fingers crossed and our prayers loud for all our other forum members in the path.

Winds are beginning to pick up here in Toronto, Some strong gusts.

1 death in Toronto already attributed to the storm, woman killed from flying debris from a sign. :(

We had to pull the boats early on Lake Ontario because the water levels were at record lows. Now I think people are grateful that the levels were low.
