Hello all,
I am new to the forum. I have been lurking a few times to get a feel for the place. I am also happy to announce that I am a soon to be owner of a 1981 Tri Cabin. Woo Hoo! You can her here:

She needs a bit of TLC, but according to the surveyor and mechanic I had inspect the vessel, they both thought she was in very good shape, and definitely worth purchasing. So, soon to be living aboard.!

Thanks Guys. I appreciate the welcome. I am looking forward to taking possession of this boat, and making her my own. The surveyor, who is ranked as one of the best around here said show him a new boat in 30 years, and tell me its huill will be as solid as this one. I think that speaks nicely of the quality of this boat.

I will be moving it sometime within the next week or so. Then moving aboard in December. Given that winters here are usually mild I will do some puttering around on the Frasaer River now and then.

Another CANADIAN Flag !! Woohoo..
Welcome aboard, I am an x-Trojan owner, but had a great time on her, as I gain more footitis, I will eventually be back on another Trojan again someday.
Again, Welcome aboard to a great forum with unbelievable information, knowledge. There are a lot of old timers on here that have been with the forum from day one, and they never hesitate to answer the same questions over and over to every noob. Like I was
Enjoy your stay, and remember the only stupid question is the one that didn't get asked and you end up paying the price for.

welcome aboard and mazel tov on your purchase. as someone who grew up with the 'original' f-36 tri cabin, (and owner of a 1982 tri) i'm happy to lend any advice you need. i've been watching the one you purchased for a few weeks and i must say she is in good shape. one thing that you will love about trojans is how well they polish up. trojan used a ridiculous amount of zinc in the gel coat and that's why they buff up and RETAIN their shine. i've even had detailers at my marina tell me how much they like working on a trojan, just because it really shows off their work. as for hull design, the tri cabin is one of the nicest riding boats out there. heavy but not too heavy, she handles very well without slamming you around. because trojan used hand-layup techniques, the hull is thick and solid, especially below the waterline as you head to the keel. you have made a great purchase my friend, and i'm looking forward to seeing more pics of her when you can get them uploaded. as for your potential new home, i love the upgraded instrument panel. it looks like the PO redid it to make it look cleaner. nice job btw.
regards.
